Current state of lost & found

The current lost & found process is long due for an update. Nowadays when you lose an item, you'd better hope that someone finds it and takes the effort of turning it in at the local lost & found.

If there is even a lost & found at wherever you lost your item, that is. Many places unfortunately do not have one. This leaves you with only one option left: hoping that the item you lost contains some personal information so that it can be traced back to you. Often, unfortunately, this is not the case.

With some luck your lost item gets dropped off at the police station. But if it really comes so far, you've probably already lost lots of time and energy in the process. And it's likely going to cost you even more.

Never search for your item again

We were tired of this process and sad that people have to spend so much time and effort trying to find their items back.

Lemmo provides a way of bringing the finder of your lost item in direct contact with you. When your lost item is found, the finder simply has to scan the QR code on the Lemmo tag or enter the code on our website and we'll provide you with an anonymous communication channel where you can arrange for your item to be returned to you.

Easier for the finder

This is a huge reduction in effort for the finder as well. Most of us have found a lost item at least once in their lives. And let's be honest; have you ever thought "ok, so now what?" after finding a lost item? You're not the only one.
